
The Private Enterprise Foundation (PEF) is a national centre for advocacy and promotion of the private sector. It is a non-political organization founded in 1994 by the Association of Ghana Industries (AGI), Ghana National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GNCCI), the Ghana Employers Association (GEA) and the Federation of Association of Ghanaian Exporters (FAGE).
The Association of Bankers (GAB) and the Ghana Chamber of Mines (GCM) have since attained membership status.
The Foundation however has a working relationship with other trade and business associations such as the Ghana-German Economic Association (GGEA), Ghana Institute of Engineers (GhIE), Ghana Institute of Freight Forwarders (GIFF), Association of Small Scale Industries (ASSI), Ghana Association of Women Entrepreneurs (GAWE), Association Building & Civil Engineering Contractors (ABECE), Ghana Poultry Farmers’ Association and Ghana Real Estates Developer’s Association (GREDA).
